I have been wanting to start a blog for a while, but never had any time. So now that it's summer, I think I will!
My latest craft has been making a teacup candle. These easy and inexpensive crafts make great presents!
The cup I will use is from Salvation Army. You can find so many cute teacups anywhere and really cheap.
I have also been wanting to try making one with this cup from Anthropology! (With A Twist Teacup: $12.00)
I found this tutorial on Design Sponge. ( http://www.designsponge.com/2008/11/diy-project-kates-teacup-candles.html)
To make this candle you will need the following:
- Teacup (with or without saucer)
- Wax (microwaveable soy wax (from a craft store)works best)
- Candle wicks (at least 2 in taller than your cup)
- Candle scent or dye (optional)
- Microwaveable container
- Thermometer
- Hot glue gun

1. Clean your cup and saucer thoroughly and dry completely
2. Place your wick in the center of your cup and glue the base down with a dab of hot glue. You can also purchase sticky wax for this step, but glue works fine.
3. Heat wax and add in dye or scent according to package directions. Pour into cup. You can gently adjust the wick to make sure it is straight after you poor the wax in.
4. Let sit until the wax is cool and solid
5. Trim wick down to 1/4 in″.
This is one that my sister made a while ago. It came out so pretty!

I love this and would never have thought to do it. It is too cute! Thanks for stopping by and entering the whimsybell give-away. Your blog is too cute. New Follower:>
